We collect minimal data necessary to provide our service:

Account information: Email address (for registration and support)
License information: License key and activation status
Usage data: Anonymous usage statistics (memory count, distillation frequency) to improve our product
Payment information: Processed by Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers

2. How We Store Your Data

Memory data: Hicortex stores memories locally on your device. The Service Provider does not have access to your memory content.

LLM provider: When Hicortex retrieves context for your agent, that context is sent to the LLM provider you configured (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, local model). Data sent to third-party LLMs is governed by their respective privacy policies. You are responsible for understanding your LLM provider's data handling practices.

Account and license data: Email and license information is stored securely on our servers in the European Union.

3. GDPR Compliance

As a Finnish company, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to:

Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Export your data in a portable format
Withdraw consent at any time

Memory data: Stored only on your device; we have no access or control over it
